Game started today for the public. Free game up to level 10. You can keep racing at level 10 but you will not gain more xp unless you spend the $20 for the rest of the game. Still, at level 10 you can have tier 2 cars and race all the tier 1 races. You really don't need to spend the extra. But if you like it, you have the option.
It is a cross between hot pursuit and carbon and uses the maps from the 2 to combine the world. You can race multiplayer in public or private race modes and can race single player too.
Races take from 2-5 minutes and when you get 8 people together, it gets really exciting.
I would definately recommend a joystick, I'm using the xbox wireless pc, but they say and usb joystick or wheel will do. I've seen guys that obviously are using keyboard and are jerky with their controls.
